Day 14!!!!

Today we got up and had some delicious homeade bread for breakfast. Then we had pork sausage and pasta for lunch. Then we went to a zoo like 2 hours away. It was pretty cool. There were mostly wolves. It was pretty cool. Then for dinner we had porkfor dinner. there was also greek mushrooms in a tomato sauce with chunks of tomatoes in it. YUUUUMMM. And there was tomatoes in basil and some sauce, that was SOOO good tooooo!!!!SOOOOO GOOOD!!!! ok, well, goodnight, loveya, Madison! P.S. Im comin home on Sunday night!

Day 12!!!

Hey everyone! Today was AMAZING!!!! we went and saw how handmade pottery is made and then got to buy some if we wanted! and then we went to a SPA!!!!!! The most relaxing place i have ever benn. You sit in one of the like 10 hot pools and hottubs. There were jets and fountans =] and your skin gets soaked and cleansed with minerals and vitamins and salt. and there was an aroma therepy room. It was HUGE. you went in and splashed your face with cold water and sat down. It was foggy and stuff, but it felt sooo good. what it does is opens your pores and cleans them out and makes your skin soft!!!! RELAXATION!!!!!! There was a tanning room with heatlamps and 2 tanning beds. I didnt use those though. The 2nd flooor was the nude floor. I wasnt allowed there, and did not go there. The only thing bad about this place was that they charged 2.20 Euros for a coke, and all the old men wore speedos. not pretty. =[ hahah. Then we went to the school and the dance party. SOOO fun. It was kinda a workout though. Jumpin around and dancin. It was all fun until the bass in the speakers blew. = [ They fixed it in like 25 min. though. =] Last day withh ALL the french kids. sad =[ Byee, Loove ya, Maddie

Day 11

Today we played a game that was sort of like dodgeball, then we went bowling. I won the first game =], but came in last the second game =[ ahahaha Then we went to the European Parliment. It was really pretty.

Day 9!!!!!

Heyy!!!!!! Today we went to Paris!!! It sooo beautiful!!! The Eiffel tower is sooooo big!!!!! Then we went to the Louvre!!! I saw the REAL Mona lisa by Da vinci!!! It was soooo amazing. I had a wonderful day!!!!! Cole's head got stuck in the net that is there so u wont jump. hahaha. Dorothy spit from the 2nd story HAHAH!! Such a beautiful day!!! Love ya, Maddie

Day 9!!!

So, today we got up around 9. We spent the vast majority of the day in Brugge, Belguin. It was sooo beautiful. Then we came home and hung out for a whille. Then we took the train back to Lille. Now it's 11:20 and i need to go to bed. Goodnight, Love, maddie <3

Day number 8!!!!!!

Ok, Today we went to an art exhibit. It was pretty cool. Then we went shopping for a little bit. Then we played wii and chilled out. Then we went to dinner in Belguim. The choices were spicy chicken, very spicy chicken or regular chicken. You had to eat with your hands also. It was really good. Fun day!!! love ya, Maddie!!

Day 7!!

Today was a fabulous day!! I saw Mr. President Barack Obama!!!! He gave a wonderful speech that I enjoyed very much. Then Camille, Hanna and I took the train to Lille to spend the weekend with her dad, stepmom and brother. Ok, bbyee guys!

Day 6!!!!

Hey everyone!!!,
Today we went to a castle. It was on the top of a mountain, so it was REALLY cold!!!! It was so cool. Then we went and walked around this little village where Charles P. Murray (founder of Murray middle School) fought for the town. The mayor was supposed to meet us there, but he didn't show up =(. So we walked around some more. Then we left and went back to Strasbourg. There were reporters waiting for us to interveiw us. Had a lot of fun. Had crepes for dinner =] TTYL, Maddie

Day 5 of my adventures!!!

Ok, well right now I am INCREDIBLY tired. It is only 8:30 pm. Blaaahhh!!! Well, today I Went to 2 enclish classes. That was interesting. All the kids asked me if americans ate Burger King Every day. Then their assignment was on the food we eat everyday. hahah. Then I went and rockclimbed in their gym. Yep, I was probably the worst. haha, o well. Wel then I went on anther thing a climbed a rope to the ceiling and just repelled and hung there for a while. Then I came back down. IT took a LOT of upper body strength. Urrggghhh! O, so I am now a body builder. Wen I come back u can check out my muscles. Hahaha, jk.!!! On Wednesday they have a 3 hour lunch break and can leave school. Everything there is all within like a 1.5 mile radius so we ALL went to this restraunt for lunch. Delicious. Had tart flambay. Probably did not spell that right :/ Well it was pizza crust that was EXTREMELY thin, like your fingernail. With cheese and stuff an top. AMAZINGLY good. Then Hanna wanted to go shopping, so I we went. Then I ust chilled outside with everyone while they were in their classes. Then went to a cafe with Camille and her friend.Then walked a little. Then went back to her house. Ate dinner. Keish with ham in it. It was pretty good, I am not tooo much a fan of eggs. But otherwise it was really good. Then showereed, and heree I am now, typing this... Well bye everyone, love ya!!!

Day number 4!!!

Hewy everyone , Today We went to a concentration camp. It was pretty sad. Mr. Hager said it was mild compared to the other camps. When we got home, I had a lot of fun with camille and her mom. They are sooo funny. Bye, love ya ALLLLL! ~Maddie~

3rd Day

Well right now it is 10 min till 11 pm. Today we did a boat tour of Strasbourg and visited the HUGE catherdral.!!! We then walked around the town. Then I went shopping with Camille and Hanna, I bought a coat! =] only 12 euros!!! thats like 15 bucks!!! Had shrimp in cream sauce!!! Deliciouso! A little homesick, not too much though. good night!!!

2nd Day in France!!!

Yes mom, the begining is the same as the e-mail i sent you, there is more at the end, so just keep reading....Today has been really fun. We got up and had cresaunts (idk if thats how u spell it, probably not, haha) for breakfast. all i can say is that it was absolutly delicious. Then we went to the childrens museum. Hanna and I had a blast. WAAAAY more stuff for kids are age than in Wilmington. There was a room/hallway that was completely dark, we had to wear hardhats for when you accidentaly walk into a wall. the objective was to see what it was like to be blind. They had this thing u crawl through and there are ant farms in glass all around u. And another thing projected on a screen of rocks falling down and u stood on a mat and ur shadow was also on the screen and u could catch what fell in your shadow's hands. And a course of all different type of ground (sidewalk, carpet, tile, wood, gravel, stone, bumpy, sand, ect.) and u had to sit in a wheelchair and we what it was like and how hard it was to roll yourself around on some of the ground, there was also a stroller you had to push over it and you could walk with braces on tour arms that connected to your wrist and were like canes. Camille could not come because she had homework, so her mom took us. Then we all met up for lunch at a steakhouse =] I had a burger with bacon and it came with barbeque sauce =] they even had french fries. haha. It was delicious. Then Camille, Hanna, and I took the tram to the ice skating rink and met up with almost all of the group. The event was not a planned activity by the teachers, but all the French kids decided it would be fun. =] there were 2 rinks, one had a DJ in the middle and a disco ball, the other was a hockey rink, they connected. Then we came home and hung out. Ate dinner- Soup with veggies, and sausage, and a dessert like strawbery shortcake but it had strwberries, pinnaples and bananas yuummm =). Then I took a shower, and here I am.

Bonjour, France!!!

Flew into Frankfurt, Germany, took a bus for 3 hours to Strasbourg. Met up with Camille and went to her house. Went to a park and a zoo =] France is just so beautiful. Mrs. Lambour has put Hanna and I upstairs in an awesome place. Plasma TV, 2 couches, bedroom, veiws of the Catherdrel and German Mts. and our own bathroom with walk in shower =] Well, goodnight everyone...
